Unit One is owned by Wayne Thompson, a popular local drummer, recording engineer and teacher in Colchester, Essex. Since his arrival in July 2017, the studio has seen some big changes and with many more to come!
Unit One is located in the Eastgates Industrial Estate, with easy and quick access to Colchester town and it's amenities. The business began in 1989, it started under the name Legends S

Super proud moment today! My uncle has officially opened the doors to The Tiny Music Store, his brand new music shop in Colchester!
He’s been working incredibly hard to get to where he is and it’s been amazing helping him over the past few weeks as everything came together.
After a trip down to see the lovely guys at Ashdown Engineering, he was finally ready to get people through the door.
After the closure of places like Music Warehouse and Sound Attack, we feel Colchester is in need of another store ready to help provide quality gear and services for the local music scene.
Rich is down to earth and willing to help anyone who walks through his door. Just pop in for a cuppa, he's always down to chat.
The shop is now open to the public, check it out and help support a small business here in Colchester. I see big things to come from within this tiny space.
