🌟 Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) National Championships Rider Spotlight – Bella 🌟

Meet Bella, aged 11, who has been riding with Quest RDA for almost two years.

Bella is neurodiverse and faces many daily challenges. She can experience anxiety and sometimes finds it difficult to process lots of instructions, making the RDA Countryside Challenge Course – with its 12 different obstacles – an incredible achievement in itself.

Animals have always been a huge source of comfort for Bella, helping her to regulate her emotions, and riding has given her the opportunity to build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy the special partnership she has with our ponies.

Just two days before the National Championships, Bella faced an unexpected setback when her usual pony, Hollie, developed colic and had to be withdrawn from the competition. Changing ponies so close to such an important event would be daunting for any rider, but Bella embraced the challenge and partnered with Diablo.

Together they rode a fantastic round, finishing 11th in a large, highly competitive class, with incredibly close scores.

We are so proud of Bella. Her determination, resilience and willingness to take on new challenges are an inspiration, and simply making it around the course after such a last-minute change was a remarkable achievement.
