‘She may not remember you’ is an ongoing body of work about Dementia and it’s effects.

I first met Malcolm and Alma in January 2018 through a Dementia cafe in Bristol. Malcolm cares for Alma at home. In the years I have known them, I have seen her gradual, and sometimes alarming, decline. Still, there are flashes of herself before the dementia took hold: she winks at me if Malcolm makes a joke and she still pokes her tongue out and tuts if he makes a joke at her expense.

Every visit I remember how incredibly strong, resilient and loving Malcolm is with Alma. I treasure the friendship we have together, which goes far beyond just making this work together. It’s hard to put the role we play in each others lives into words 🤍
