🏆 Cardiff Metropolitan University has been awarded the LTA University Excellence Award at the 2025 LTA Tennis Awards, recognising our standout contribution to university and community tennis across Wales and beyond.

CMetTennis has seen significant growth in recent years. We’re proud to be named Tennis Wales University of the Year for both 2024 and 2025, and to be home to Wales’ only on-campus indoor tennis centre. Our programme delivers the National Performance Programme in partnership with Tennis Wales, coaches over 100 children weekly, and recently launched a new community initiative in Llandaff Fields as part of the Tennis Wales Parks Strategy.

The award was presented at the 2025 Lexus Eastbourne International, where our team took part in an on-court presentation and Q&A with Wimbledon mixed doubles finalist Harriet Dart 🎾
