R2 is getting an upgrade thanks to Elegoo, who very kindly donated a new printer for the Makerspace. Diolch to Elegoo for their generosity. 💡

A short story from one of our members...

"Welp, what do you do when your food filament dehydrator stops working? Well, of course you slap a Raspberry Pi in it, isn't that what every sane person would do?
Jokes aside the logic board for my dehydrator gave up the ghost, so with the help of other members we wired a heater and fan to a Raspberry Pi Zero, did some magic in Python and built a webUI to control it. Right now this thing has:

WebUI
LED screen to show actual temperature, hours left in the cycle and eventual error codes
All 5 factory physical buttons wired and working
Access point mode, so that it's usable even when not connected to a wifi
Logs, watchdog, preset configuration page, wifi scanner, a completely useless humidity graph, the whole works..."
