Cardiff Vocations

There will be a holy hour and benediction to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life, 6pm, Wednesday 23rd of August at the Aquinas hall at the rear of the Catholic Chaplaincy at 62 Park Place. All are welcome to attend.

Selected from some photos of the after party of Dale’s ordination today. Dale had a good representation from the priests of the Archdiocese and, of course, was privileged to be ordained by his own Archbishop, alongside his confreres at Allen Hall seminary.

Please keep our seminarian, Dale, in your prayers as he is due to be ordained deacon by Archbishop Mark at Westminster Cathedral tomorrow. It is at ordination as a deacon where a candidate enters the clerical state and promises to pray the divine office every day. He also promises to live a life of celibacy and to show respect and obedience towards his bishop and his bishop’s successors. Please also keep our discerners in your prayers as some of them look towards the possibility of application this coming year.

This Sunday, we celebrate Good Shepherd Sunday, which is a particular occasion to pray for vocations to the priesthood and support the priest training fund, as much as we are able.
