Sometimes an idea just needs to be made real – even if it fits in the palm of your hand.

We’ve been working on a rather large heritage and culture brand that’s still very much in its early concept stages. Political movement and a changing of staff and local authority leadership has brought about a complete shift in direction – and with that, fresh challenges and ambitions.

As part of exploring how far a brand concept could go – and how it might help bring more revenue into the organisation – we decided to push it further than a sketch.

We turned a rough digital sketch into a stunning 3D model. A way to explore how this brand could live beyond the visit: in shops, in homes, in hearts.

We love experimenting with brands in a tangible sense when we can – taking an idea off the screen and into the real world to see how it behaves. Could it sit on a shelf? Could someone hold it, love it, and take it home? That’s when a brand truly starts to breathe.

The result? A charming little mould – no name yet (suggestions welcome!) – who might not make it past the studio shelf, but already tells a story. It may act as a symbol of how brands can have life, warmth and real-world character I suppose.

Whether he goes further or not, we’re proud of this little boyo. At the very least making him has helped us think differently about where this brand could go.
