High Contour

Great hike near El Manzano, not too far from Santiago in Chile, in the foothills of the Andes! Fantastic scenery and interesting wildlife.

Just back from working the Glastonbury Festival clean up again this year.

Out this morning in the Bannau Brycheiniog working with Explorer Scouts on their navigation, then a quick jaunt up Pen y Fan with Karen to try out her new boots.

Back in Cardiff after an excellent Outdoor First Aid course with Mike Raine: Notes from the Hill over the weekend. Great training in authentic outdoor locations gave a real feel for coping with emergencies in mountain conditions. Good to meet with other participants, outdoor enthusiasts and professionals.

Visit to scorching hot (up to 47’C) Morocco last week. Lovely views of Mount Tubkal but no ascent (this time)
