Breaking news: A non-binary person who has lived in Cardiff for 7 years has finally swum in a Cardiff pool!!

Nobody died! Nobody shouted at me! Nobody was uncomfortable! Nobody made any comments! I genuinely don’t think anyone cared!! I had a lovely swim , and after not swimming since June 2023, I swam 1600 m of breaststroke in about an hour or so to continue getting ready for my show on the 26th! I know this isn’t a world record pace or anything; however, it was lovely swimming again, especially in my cute 2-Piece tankini!

Thank you to Cardiff for still showing some safety in this very strange period of supremely stupid people trying to push hatred and bigotry! Thank you for your wonderful company and for allowing me to feel extra safe and showing me the importance of stretching after swimming even if I’m still a little sore after doing my first big swim since performing in Cesenatico! (If only I was heading there again soon…😘😉🇮🇹) 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️💜🤍🖤💛🥰

After an inspiring day of rehearsing some beautiful music with some incredible people to tell a very much needed story. Even if some people lead with hate, I know for a fact that some people can be SUPREMELY wrong!

Tonight is first night of our incredible La Bohème! My debut as Marcello ! Tonight will be the night I will officially sung every principal role (apart from Rodolfo, Mimi and Musetta.. Yet!) on stage or in concert!

It has been a pleasure working with this group of very talented folk and a big thank you to everyone at The New Aquarium Opera Company! A beautiful and poignant story with incredible music all about found family love loss and being very cold in winter (which I think we can all relate!)

I think there might be some tickets left over on their website for both venues. Don’t miss out and hope to see you there! ❤️
