International Translate Day… 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
Here at TutorTiwtor we pride ourselves on creating a bi-lingual, all inclusive environment for both child and parent. ✨
As the founder of TutorTiwtor (Ffion) I was privileged to be raised in a bi-lingual family, where my mother was required to guess what our welsh homework was asking of us, without the technological help thats available today. And the admiration I have for those English speaking parents venturing down the path of welsh education for their little ones has only grown. ♥️
I feel the stigma attached to the level of correction within the Welsh language is sometimes difficult for those either learning to speak to language from scratch, or those who maybe don’t use it as often as they like. Meaning they then choose not to utilise in, in fear of being judged. I regularly find myself using Google Translate to help me remember terminology, and sometimes learning new words. Granted, it may not always be correct, but surely the effort it always more important than the correctness?
