Four and fully in birthday mode. Sunglasses on, Top Gun dreams in full swing and a lot of excitement about what the day might bring. At this age it is all imagination and confidence, stepping into a character and enjoying every second of it.
This is what I love about photographing children. Giving them space to play, to lead, and to show up exactly as they are in that moment.

Spring is just around the corner and I am more than ready for lighter days and warmer air after the long stretch of grey.
Outdoor sessions at this time of year are always a favourite of mine. The daffodils coming through, softer light and space to move make location photoshoots feel relaxed and natural, with moments that unfold rather than being directed.
