Brackley RUFC is a family orientated club formed in 1976 to address the growing need for Rugby Union Football in the town. There is also a Veteran’s Team (The Broken Brigade) who still maintain a passion for rugby away from the intensity of 1st XV action. Introducing Our New Captains | 2026/27
Every team needs players who lead by example, and we’re proud to announce our leadership team for the 2026/27 season.
Congratulations to Joe Schafer, who has been named Club Captain, and Wayne Mills, who takes on the role of Vice Captain.
Both have earned the respect of teammates through their commitment, work ethic and passion for Brackley Rugby Club. They know what it means to wear the badge and will lead from the front every time they pull on the shirt.
As pre-season begins, a new chapter starts for the club. We can’t wait to see what this squad can achieve together under Joe and Wayne’s leadership.

Our Senior Men return to training on Thursday 9th July, from 7–9pm, as preparations begin for the 2026/27 season.
Whether you’re a returning player, new to the area, or thinking about getting back into rugby, now is the perfect time to get involved. All abilities are welcome.
