Damai Sound System was started by Bob Damai with his friend and long time collaborator Salim Dastan aka Mr Upfull. Bob landed on Irish shores in 2005 where he discovered Reggae Soundsystem Culture. It was within reggae dance culture he met Salim, an Irish-Malaysian producer and composer. A collaboration was formed and the might Damai Sound was born.
