Some really dull djing content that nobody asked for.

I take for granted a skill that I acquired from a young age to put music together in a fashion that is pleasing to a broad range of people.
In my job I may not always have a crowd of people to play to that are into one genre or style of music, so I have to bring many different styles together in a coherent way that is playful and engaging to sometimes conflicting tastes. I'm rambling, I find doing multi genre type stuff very fun, you can try and blend songs in key or do fun little loop based mixes to create a totally different energy to the original feel of the music you are working with.

The modern dj's worst nightmare, the equivalent of landing the bird with your eyes closed. Had so much fun (sarcasm) trying to manage about 3 hours of DJing without my visual aides last night. This is the glamorous side of the job that you don't get to see. The actual panic that I felt not knowing whether everything was just gonna go quiet suddenly or what I was gonna play next.
The old school heads will say that's the way I used to do it with my records but it's 2025 and I like to know what songs I have at my disposal. Thanks for the ultimate in club equipment
