SERC is offering new ESOL opportunities

The courses are in 3 main areas:

English for Life Skills
Academic English (IELTS etc prep)
English Plus - an ESP course giving employability skills in areas like construction, early years, hospitality etc.

Open to learners age 16 to 19 from a displaced background ✅📋!

This programme is delivered through an innovative, holistic approach to ensure students have the English (including ESOL qualifications), maths, digital and personal development capabilities they need to progress, remain and thrive with their education aspirations.

‘ESOL for Transitions’ is an intensive study programme for Asylum Seeker learners with embedded enrichment activities which will help young students integrate into college life and gain new skills.
Including ESOL Skills for Life, but also gain qualifications in Maths, digital and personal development skills to become strong and resilient young citizens and fulfil their potential.
The face-to-face tutoring sessions alongside online learning complementary cover different range of workshops and offer support to all young people.

The dedicated pastoral support and guidance framework attached to this programme places empowerment and wellbeing in the heart of the curriculum offer to make sure all students are supported through their learning journey.

Millfield Campus Closure – Friday 6th February 2026 PM ⚠️

Due to a significant power failure, we are closing the Millfield campus with immediate effect.
Teaching and services scheduled at Millfield today will be moved online or rescheduled.

Our other campuses remain open if students wish to avail of the facilities of the library and canteen.

We are working with our contractors to diagnose the fault and restore power as quickly as possible.
