This is a superb 199 Blue Black R129 SL 600, sent to us from Switzerland for a long standing ASR fault that had evaded a proper fix for years. This is one of the best pre facelift V12s we’ve seen, even though the miles are relatively high, the underside is as good as they get and the car is now running and driving beautifully. Mileage doesn’t dictate the quality of these cars folks!
As is often the way with V12 R129s, the fault wasn’t just one simple smoking gun. It was multi-faceted, but the core issue was traced to a faulty potentiometer on the master throttle body.
This is exactly the sort of problem solving we enjoy most. Owner has just flown in to collect the car, and has a lovely continental drive ahead.
