I love going to local, grassroots Pride events. Usually by ‘local’ I mean, local to Aberystwyth, Ceredigion and the surrounding areas…
However, this one feels different because I grew up in and around High Wycombe. It is my hometown. The place where I grew up with all the fears of being “found out”, and the place where started I coming out and finding my little gay feet 👣 🏳️🌈
Me and Matt went to the first High Wycombe Pride back in 2017, when we’d just met. Being able to attend the first Pride in my hometown felt momentous.
I’m so pleased to be able to bring our bookstall to High Wycombe Pride tomorrow. It feels very special indeed!
Me and Stars cannot wait to be there!
