To mark the opening of the new photography exhibition, Brexit Wales: 10 years on, a special evening will be held at the Arts Centre.

18.00: light refreshments available and an opportunity to view the exhibition in Gallery 2

18.45: panel discussion in the Round Studio chaired by Dr Huw Lewis. Contributors on the evening will include photographers Glenn Edwards, Rhodri Jones, Natasha Hirst and Dr Bartosz Nowicki, along with Professor Mike Woods and Dr Maria Plotnikova from Aberystwyth University’s Centre for Welsh Politics and Society.

This is an opportunity to learn about the artists' objectives in putting together the exhibition and also to discuss the wider implications of the Brexit process a decade on from the referendum.

Saturday, 4 July was the Aberystwyth University Open Day for the summer - staff and our wonderful student ambassadors spoke to prospective students and their friends and family throughout the day, which was interspersed with talks about studying in the Department and a Question Time panel where visitors could ask academic staff about topical issues in politics and international relations. We invited visitors to put a dot on the map to show where they had come from and we were impressed by how far some had travelled to see us!
