We are delighted to announce the projects selected: ANAPHORA, KABARILA QUARTET and SMIODAIR.

🌍 Bringing together artists from Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Austria, Greece and France, they reflect the vitality and diversity of today’s European jazz scene.

🎶 Hypnotic cyclical rhythms, free and collective improvisation, powerful grooves and dreamlike soundscapes: these projects embody the creativity and diversity of today’s European jazz scene.

🎹🎷 A glimpse of LOTUS FLOWERS live at La Dynamo, recorded during Les Rencontres AJC 2025 ⚡️

Led by pianist Bruno Angelini, alongside Sakina Abdou and Angelika Niescier, Lotus Flowers pays tribute to figures such as Wayne Shorter, Jane Addams, Berta Cáceres and Nelson Mandela. Their music unfolds through committed melodies, carried by raw lyricism and a strong sense of freedom.

Between composition and deconstruction, the trio navigates an aesthetic close to free jazz, infused with blues, where structure and improvisation constantly reshape each other.

Led by cellist Valentin Ceccaldi, alongside Luís Lopes (guitar), Fulco Ottervanger (keys) and Etienne Ziemniak (drums), the quartet blends fiery textures and vivid soundscapes inspired by a fantasised Mexico and the spirit of Día de los Mu***os.
From chaos to tenderness, their music unfolds as a vibrant, ritual-like journey.

𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘑𝘢𝘻𝘻 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 #3 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯!

We’re looking for the next generation of French-European jazz projects. To support artist mobility and European cooperation, AJC is launching a third edition of its Jazz With programme.

Three selected projects will receive:

🔸 Professional support and mentoring
🔸 opportunity to perform live at the Rencontres AJC (Dec. 2026) in front of a professional audience
🔸 A significant financial grant to support a series of European tours
