Michigander Blues is a song written by the great trumpet player Cladys "Jabbo" Smith and recorded by his Rhythm Aces on march 30th 1929 in Chicago. This quintet recorded nineteen titles for the same company but unfortunately because the work was too advanced or sophisticated, the records were not accepted by the public and have, until recently, been largely forgotten.
After playing this song over the last years , here's our rendition to this title with Sylvain Florentin in the role of the great Jabbo Smith.
we hope you enjoy it.
Panama is a song written by William H. Tyres in 1912 that we've been playing over the years with different arrangements , despite the end credits don't confuse this song with Panama Rag (ragtime song composed by Charles Seymour in 1905 , a really nice and more obscure song , link in comments ).
