2025 definitely over delivered in all sorts of way… the year really started in April, where I came back to Thailand to prepare for my Mekong trip, which didn’t go as planned… I still keep incredible memories from these moments on the 5 rivers we paddled up and down on. This end of the year is divided by a feeling of achievement and sense of failure, but I know 2026 will be different and far more enriching. My intentions are clear and I’ll make sure they are achieved.

After spending years doing things I loved, I have recently started to challenge myself in doing things I don’t. This includes running... I’ve always thought running was boring, long, painful and overall unnecessary - until I started trail running. Trail running gave me a new perspective on the sport and allowed me to rediscover some muscles I had forgotten about. A thrilling 18km dash through untamed terrain to cap off an unforgettable first season. This year threw open the gates to Taiwan’s most legendary trail running battlegrounds, plunging me deep into the island’s beating heart: the mythical Formosa Trail.

Surrounded by thousands of warriors on the same quest, I charged through Nantou’s merciless landscape - terrain that punishes hesitation and rewards only the bold. The first 10km flew by in a personal blaze of glory, but the mountain demanded its tribute. A punishing descent carved into my knees and ankles, forcing me to battle through the final 4km with gritted teeth. Still, when the dust settled, my ranking stood as a badge of honor.

The hunger is lit. Time to sharpen my edge, push harder, dig deeper. These mountains haven’t seen the last of me - next year, I’m coming back fiercer.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
