One of those Antillean records that reminds you why independent French Caribbean productions from the late '80s remain such a goldmine.

Singer, composer and bandleader Serge Cladier brings together a tight ensemble around an irresistible groove, somewhere between compas, zouk and Caribbean funk.

Like many releases on small independent labels, Ti Mamie never enjoyed wide distribution, making original copies increasingly hard to come by. Special mention goes to the stellar lineup of musicians: drums, congas, two trumpets, saxophones, guitar, bass and backing vocals all locked into pure tropical heat.
