Neuroscience tells us that each emotion only lasts 90 seconds. Adrenaline, cortisol, stress chemistry — all rise, peak, and fade in about a minute and a half. ⏰
So why do we stay angry for hours, anxious for days, or sad for weeks?
Because we keep feeding emotions with the same thoughts — over and over and over. So, you stay angry, hurt, and depressed. 😖
The thing I want you to know is that you are doing it to yourself. More importantly, you CAN also stop it. You can learn to make peace with your emotions — and even let them teach you — by taking a mindful pause, turning toward them with awareness, and doing something to interrupt the cycle.
