We are thrilled to announce the Michael Dower Award for Rural Resilience! 🌍
This award aims to showcase outstanding examples of how local communities and individuals are tackling economic, environmental, and social challenges to build rural resilience. It promotes local empowerment across by helping applicants share their experiences, practices, and knowledge with others. Ultimately, the award will further Michael Dower’s vision of a better future for Europe’s rural peoples and places while strengthening democracy from the bottom up.
Rural resilience is about individuals and communities who take their destiny into their own hands, adapting to and recovering from challenges. It’s for those who challenge outdated structures and policies to foster a sustainable future 🌱
The award features two categories:
🔸 Outstanding Community Initiative in Rural Resilience
🔸 Outstanding Individual Effort in Promoting Rural Resilience
Applications are now open until 14 February 2025 🗓️. You can submit your application through our online forms available on our website, in any European language.

⭐️⭐️Communications for Sustainable Food - How do we take everyone with us?⭐️⭐️

In Marburg 🇩🇪 kollektiv von MORGEN (the Collective of Tomorrow) is collaborating with food education activists and other stakeholders to formulate regional communications strategies around sustainable food. Here are three highlights from a recent workshop hosted by the Kollektiv in collaboration the BNE (Education for Sustainable Development) Coordination Office:

🫘 Target Group Analysis: Participants analysed key target groups “Which target group are we actually reaching and where?”

🌽 Factors of success: Participants evaluated the various factors impacting communication strategies.

👩🏾‍🌾 Creative Project Planning: Participants formed small groups to prioritise and develop potential regional projects focused on “EatingCultureChange” and “Food Policies”.
