Laguna 69 - Huascarán National Park 🌄
Laguna 69 is a small lake near the city of Huaraz, in the region of Áncash, Peru.
It is one of the more than 400 lakes that form part of the Huascarán National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site
To access the lagoon, you have to hike 14km round trip and 900m of elevation gain.
It culminates at an altitude of 4604m.

We're passing through many wonderful landscapes. Nature in Peru is mind blowing.
We do a lot of unpaved road and accumulate the uphills and climbing up to 4400m altitude.
Cycling at this altitude with a bike loaded at 30/40kg is challenging. Breathing becomes shorter, vision changes, efforts become more and more intense, and sometimes a headache occurs.
In order to feel the altitude as little as possible, you have to acclimatize beforehand. Fortunately we have been riding for months at high altitude and we are well acclimatized.
