Whew… no deadlines, no scripts, no clock to punch, and definitely no one email to answer. Just peace and perspective. Sometimes you gotta take a vacation… before life decides to give you a permanent one.

Andrew Berry, the Cleveland Browns’ Executive Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager, is a trailblazer in the NFL. Appointed in 2020 at the age of 32, he became the youngest GM in league history. A Harvard graduate with degrees in economics and computer science, Berry’s analytical approach and commitment to building a competitive team have been evident throughout his tenure.  

Berry’s decision to draft Shedeur Sanders with the 144th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft reflects his belief in potential and resilience. Sanders, once projected as a top pick, experienced a surprising slide in the draft. Despite this, Berry saw value in Sanders’ talent and character, stating that he believes Sanders will outproduce his draft slot. This move underscores Berry’s philosophy that nothing is given and everything is earned, providing opportunities to those ready to prove themselves.   

In a league where second chances are rare, Berry’s faith in Sanders is a testament to his forward-thinking leadership and dedication to fostering talent.
