The session at the EAA was a great success. Excellent audience participation and good sharing of archaeological experiences in relation to disasterand earthquakes. The PROTECT project also interested the audience very much!

On the train back from a wonderful and very interesting workshop organised by Paolo Forlin, Andrea Augenti e Matthew Johnson at the University of Bologna. The presentation of the PROTECT project was a great success and, thanks to the discussion with many Italian and foreign colleagues, new perspectives and ideas were born.

On 25 and 26 June 2024 the University of Bologna will host the conference ‘Archaeology of disasters. Ecology, materiality, and memory’ organised by Paolo Forlin, Andrea Augenti and Matthew Johnson.
The PROTECT project will participate in the workshop on 26 June at 12.00 a.m. with a speech entitled: The PROTECT project. Preliminary steps towards an operational protocol for the archaeoseismological study of a historic centre.
