Shaka Tribe

When I attended BYU Hawaii, I entered the business competition every single semester to challenge myself to refine my ideas and present something that would be valuable to someone.

It was a pretty rough ride. I lost many times, but that is why I won.

Near the end of my four years Chalei and I had the opportunity to put together an idea we now call called Shaka tribe and present it in one of these competitions and we managed to win.

It’s truly the times you fail are the moments when you learn the most and become than one percent better.

The sketches in this video are very bad to demonstrate what it looks like to go into something without any experience but then overtime as you continue to push past those barriers, you become more refined and skilled.

These journals were one of our first products and I hope that these too can give you courage and strength along your journey.
