Fartlek = learning how to run hard without falling apart.

Recover while moving.
Change pace whilst tired.
Get better at controlling pace & effort.
Build race strength.
Get a hard workout when conditions aren’t perfect!

Fartleks are a Team Elite Running favourite - we personal use these a lot as they are great all round workout especially over the summer when it could be warm and you’re trying to get yourself in a good place so that later in the year that HM or marathon feels easy 😉 ⚡️

Big weekend for the team with the two biggest marathons in the UK being held on the same day. Looks like it could be similar conditions as it was in 2018 when finished 8th overall and 1st British woman 🇬🇧. Hopefully, it's a little bit cooler than that day. Hydrate well, fuel well, and most importantly, trust the fitness you've built up over the last few months. Good Luck 💪🏽

It was a good test with only a few weeks training before and shows things are heading in the direction! 💪🏽
