Thank you to Fr Jeremy for a moving memorial service on 14th July which remembered those killed and injured in the attack on the Promenade des Anglais in 2016 and which provided healing for those who were present 10 years ago. The names of all 86 victims were read out as 86 lights were lit around a cross.

The 16th and last "Moments musicaux" concert before the summer break took place on Tuesday, July 7. Pianist and composter Olivier dos Santos played works by Zipoli, Händel, Granados and Satie, as well as two works of his own. In spite of the heat there was an audience of 90 who received him with enthusiasm.

The next concert will be on October 6, a program of Celtic ballads and instrumentals, featuring the Celtic harp, the dulcimer, the bodhran, violin, guitar and voice, with jigs and reels featuring Irish dancers Danielle Sullivan and friends !

Holy Trinity Cemetery and Gardens:
Love Your Burial Ground Week/Churches Count on Nature
6-14 June 2026

Holy Trinity Activities
Holy Trinity is now registered on the ‘Caring for God’s Acre’ website (caringforgodsacre.org.uk) for their Burial Ground/Nature Week, 6-14 June 2026. Interest in this link stems from our Eco Church A Rocha (arocha.org.uk) activities and our on-going work to achieve Bronze level A Rocha accreditation.

Self-guided (Activités Libres)
Via these website affiliations anyone interested is invited in this
June period to visit our Cemetery. This may simply be to pay a short casual visit or, as we propose, to engage either in a Self-Guided Historic Walk or a Drop-in Nature Count using iNaturalist.

Drawing Outdoors (Dessiner en Plein Air)
Additionally we are offering an Adult Sketching afternoon in the
Cemetery inviting Holy Trinity church members and others to join and undertake a piece of artwork, for example a drawing or painting, in the church grounds. This will start around 12:30 Sunday June 14 after the 11am Service. It will be led by Helen Barraja.

The sketching afternoon will be open to everyone of every level (raw beginners to talented artists). It’s a moment to relax and create a souvenir of a place and time. If you wish to enrol for the sketching please inform Keith Paterson ([email protected]) by June 13th.

Kids (Enfants)
Children attending church are also encouraged to participate in the
artwork project on Sunday 14th but must be accompanied by a family member. They should also, if possible, bring their own equipment, eg pencils, paints, etc. However, the Church has a small number of these items to lend, if needed. Paper will be made available.
