Metropolitan Seminar Day 4 -

Welcoming the group to the second edition of the Bread and Heart Festival. Albania is undoubtedly becoming an international hub for , with the personal support of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

The AKTP, represented by Adelina Greca, whom we warmly thank for her invitation, and the AZTH brought together over 300 international teams from every continent. Around fifty round-table discussions explored the link between the challenges of contemporary architecture and the landscape at a regional scale. An exhibition organised around three themes – lithosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere – showcased numerous projects for Albania.

A first day focusing on the question of Tirana throughout its long history, past and future:

🏙️ A look back at 27 centuries of history in Tirana and Durrës with Armand Vokshi, Rector of the Fakulteti i Arkitekturës dhe Urbanistikës, UPT at the Polytechnic University of Tirana

🗺️ Presentation of the strategic plan for the Tirana-Durrës metropolitan area by Martin Alite, from the National Territorial Planning Agency

🚶‍➡️ First tour of Tirana city centre to understand its architectural transformations with Andi Eftimi, co-director of the studio ATELIER 4+ concluding with a visit to the Tirana Pyramid, with Irida Shupo (iRIArchitecture Studio)
