Naked Soul / Flatbed, a 7 song split 12 inch EP

A slice of time in 1989 with two bands with shared history!

By 1988 M.I.A. was history. Singer Mike Conley started Naked Soul with long time friend Jeff Sewell and former M.I.A. drummer Larz Pearson. The band started writing carefully crafted pop songs with an edge. The 3 songs featured here were recorded in 1989 by a short-lived line-up that included Mike Brown on drums and Carlos Soria of the Nils from Canada.

Meanwhile former M.I.A. guitarist Nick Adams started playing with Miles Gillet (El Grupo S**o) and Bob Gnarly (Plain Warp). The band set out to play heavy yet melodic rock’n roll and just have a blast! The line-up went on to feature Danny Wallis (Don’t No) and Bob Thomson (Big Drill Car).

This release is limited to 300 copies and comes in a handstamped cover and on colored vinyl.
