Team Malizia is turning 10! 🎂
We are celebrating 10 years of racing, innovation and Ocean advocacy since the creation of the team at the Yacht Club De Monaco in 2016. Ten years ago, Pierre Casiraghi, Vice-President of the YCM, and I had an ambitious dream: to build an offshore racing team which would compete at the highest level while advocating for ambitious climate action.

Looking back today, it’s incredible to see how far Team Malizia has come. That dream became a reality thanks to founding partner Yacht Club de Monaco and early partners like EFG International who believed in it, stayed with us through every step, and continue to be part of the journey today.

From our early days racing GC32 catamarans to multiple round-the-world races on foiling IMOCA racing yachts, including two Vendée Globe campaigns and The Ocean Race, from supporting climate science to engaging with children globally, and now to the build of our next-generation IMOCA, we continue to move forward with the same spirit that has defined Team Malizia from the very beginning.

I’m also extremely grateful to EFG International, one of our very first partners, for continuing this journey with us. Their long-term trust and support have played an important role in helping Team Malizia grow into the structure it is today. I’m proud that together, we are extending this partnership through to 2030 as we prepare for the next chapter of our campaign.

What makes Team Malizia so special to me is that it has always been about more than racing. Alongside performance and innovation, we’ve tried to build something meaningful: using sport as a platform to inspire action for the Ocean protection and future generations.

And Team Malizia’s story still has many more chapters to be written...✍🏽
