The SMaP (Sustainable Management of Pollution) Master aims to train future professionals and scientists capable of meeting the challenges presented by fast-moving changes to legislation and to the fast-paced development of depollution fields and technology in industrialised countries - people who are also capable of implementing this technology in emerging countries. It aims to provide students wi
th a comprehensive view of the management of pollution and of polluted sites, and with a sustainable vision capable of tackling all technical, scientific, economic and social aspects. The course, taught in English, uses the experience of the ISA Group through career-oriented pathways offered by the school (Engineer, Masters, etc.) and on the skills and expertise of research laboratories and research professors, international experience and industrial partnerships. The SMaP "Sustainable Management of Pollution" Masters aims to meet the current needs of companies, public authorities and research laboratories by training future executives and researchers benefiting from French and European expertise in the field of general and sustainable management of pollution and polluted sites. The main aim is therefore to provide a general approach to the issue, from the prevention of pollution (water, air and waste processing) to the management of sites contaminated by human activities. Although this general approach is naturally taught through its technical and scientific aspects, it is crucial to include economic, sociological and ethical aspects to gain a sustainable approach to the issue. The other general objectives of the course are to give students:
- an international view of the issue of pollution, highlighting certain national and/or regional peculiarities;
- the tools necessary to carry out the prevention and treatment of pollution;
- the tools necessary to perform the management of a contaminated site, from pollution diagnostics to the rehabilitation of the site;
- a practical view of site management, through the attendance of a number of professionals in the field;
- the methods to manage projects within an international context, with multicultural staff.
