If you visit Greece, PLEASE go hungry!! 😭🇬🇷🍴
Here are some of the best foods from our trip:
🐙 Fresh octopus & calamari
We had incredible seafood all over the islands, but the octopus and calamari from Sunset Ammoudi in Santorini was top-tier!!
🥙 Gyros from Pito Gyros in Oia
We loved these SO much that we literally went back again before leaving Santorini. So cheap and so delicious!
🥐 Spanikopita
I grabbed this one at the Santorini airport and even the airport food in Greece was amazing 😂
🫒 Greek dips & mezze
The hummus and appetizers at Thalami Restaurant in Oia were SO good.
☕ Freddo cappuccino
If you like iced coffee, you NEED to try a Freddo cappuccino in Greece!! We had a few but the one at Galini Cafe on our Fira to Oia hike was yummmmyyyy
🐟 Fresh ceviche & seafood
Not traditional Greek food necessarily, but some of the seafood restaurants on Milos were INSANE. The ceviche from Astakas Cafe was genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever eaten!
🐙 More octopus 😂
The grilled octopus from Medusa Cafe in Mandrakia on Milos was another standout!!
🍍 Tuna ceviche from Sirocco Volcanic Restaurant
SO fresh and flavorful. Also their lemon potatoes were one of my favorite things we ate the entire trip - I keep trying to re-create them at home
🍺 Local Greek beer
Perfect after a beach day or while watching the sunset by the water 🤍
What Greek food would you want to try first?! 👀

Don’t visit Milos without knowing these… 😭🌊🐚
We absolutely fell in love with this island, but there were definitely a few things I wish we knew before visiting that would’ve made the trip even better!!
Here are my biggest Milos tips after visiting 👇
⚓️ Book a FULL DAY boat tour
This ended up being one of our favorite experiences in all of Greece!! The water around Milos seriously looks fake.
But if I could redo one thing, I would’ve booked a tour that also stopped at Polyaigos because the photos look INSANE.
🚙 Rent a car or ATV
Milos is NOT the kind of island where you can just stay in one town and walk everywhere. Having transportation gives you so much more freedom to beach hop, explore cute villages, and chase sunsets around the island.
We rented an ATV and had the best time 😂
✈️ You can fly directly from Athens
This surprised me! You can’t really fly island-to-island in Greece, but you can fly between Athens and Milos. Just know the airport is TINY and the planes are very small.
Morning flights are usually your safest bet because the winds can get intense later in the day.
📆 Visit during shoulder season if possible
We visited in early June and it was already busy. I’d personally LOVE to go back in late September next time.
Fewer crowds, warm water, and still amazing weather sounds like the dream 🤍
Milos honestly ended up being one of my favorite Greek islands because it feels adventurous AND relaxing at the same time!
One second you’re cliff jumping into turquoise water, and the next you’re eating seafood at a tiny beachside restaurant 😭
Would you visit Milos?! 🐚

Pretty amazing, right?! 🫶🏼 (ad)
One of the BEST parts about being a travel blogger is making money from trips after you go on them🙏🏼
Basically, once I get back, I write super detailed blog posts about every aspect of the trip to help other people plan similar ones! 📝
For our Greece trip, this included:
• our overall one week itinerary
• shorter itineraries for each island we visited
• guides on where to stay and things to do for each island
• reviews of any tours we did (like a boat tour in Milos, for example!)
Within these blog posts, I include affiliate links to hotels, tours, rental cars, and more through 💙
Then, over time, people find these blog posts on Google, Pinterest, or even Instagram and read them💻
Some people will click and book through my affiliate links, and I earn a commission on those purchases!
This affiliate income, along with ads on those pages, has earned me over $4,000 (just on my Greece blog posts!!) 😱
How crazy is that?!
That’s enough to cover the cost of the trip and then some 😍
