Young Davie, which was a success as “Tagimoucia” earned KKU the Awards for Best New
Artist and Most Popular Song at the 2014 FPRA Music Awards dubbed as Fiji’s biggest
night in music. In 2016, KKU earned a nomination and a win at the 2016 FPRA Music Awards in the Most
Popular Music Video category with Hit Single “Noqu Senikau” which also featured the
Award Winning local Band InsideOut. KKU with his 2018 Hit Single Raijieli were the subject of a viral social media challenge
called the #RaijieliChallenge with the official music video gaining 170,000 views on his
YouTube channel. KKU has bilingual hits like Lewa Mo Nanuma featuring Solomon Islands rapper Young
Davie, which has earned him a nomination and a win at the 2019 FPRA Music Award in
the Most Popular Music Video category.
2019 was a big year for the Artist as he set out on tour doing a total of seven (7) shows
altogether which included Brisbane, Penrith, Wellington, South Auckland, Auckland
City, Melbourne & Sydney. Moreover, his passion for developing local Artists led him to creating a platform called Kava Music, whereby he gives the opportunity to local sigidrigi bands a break in terms of exposure, marketing advice and guidance towards a progress in their musical career. Performing live is something KKU is very passionate about, as it gives him an opportunity to truly connect with an audience. The Artist has also played at numerous wedding receptions including the recent wedding of the Music Composer and the choir master of “Disney’s Moana”, The Pacific Maestro, Mr. In 2022, He toured Fiji, Australia and New Zealand alongside top Intwernational Artists from the Melanesian region like Sean Rii (Solomon Islands), Dezine (Solomon Islands), Kali – D (PNG), Tonton Malele (PNG), Jaro Local (Solomon Islands), VT1s (Fiji), Kuki (Fiji), Adina (Africa), and Tenelle (Hawaii). Thereafter, in 2023, he embarked on his fourth (4th) tour with DOX Entertainment performing in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. On that same year, he featured on the Onetox first Australian tour. In Addition, KKU is one of those artists that are quite versatile in what he brings to the table no matter the nature of the event he is hired to perform at.
