Serua Women edged past Malolo Women 25–22 in a thrilling Round 1 encounter of the FRFU Royal Tea Ranadi Competition at Lawaqa Park 2.
Serua capitalized on the strength of their dominant forward pack, while Malolo kept the pressure on with their fast and exciting backline play. In a closely contested match, Serua held their nerve in the closing stages to score a try and secure a hard-fought three-point victory.

Nasinu Secondary School U18 defeated Suva Grammar School 17–14 in a tight match. Nasinu led with a well-worked first try and a second from an interception, then added a penalty in the second half. Suva Grammar fought back strongly, using their forward pack to score two tries after the break, but fell just short as Nasinu held on for the win.
