A chilly cold and rainy Tuesday night pitched us against Northern United in the a battle of 1st against 2nd in the league. In a very tight affair at the top of the table NUTEC FC ran out eventual winners 2-1 to maintain its unbeaten run and go 4 points clear at the top of the table. In a game of this magnitude you'd expect few chances far and between with both sides equally dominating the battle. NUTEC FC found the breakthrough within the first five minutes when Shavy Lal met a beautifully time cross on the volley which left the keeper no chance. An eventful counter-attack saw Nothern United draw level in the game however straight from the restart NUTEC found its second goal and the winner with a shot from distance by Harikesh Kushal just before half time. The second half proved to be tense affair with some bone crunching tackles being made by both teams. With chances coming at extreme at both ends NUTEC FC held off pressure till the end to record another successive. Guts matter in these top games and this was displayed from our boys right from the start. Full hearted tackles, spine tingling shots and wonderful comradery paid off for for our boys right till the end.
