Shirley Tivao and Susan Serukai attended the two-day symposium "National Talanoa Session on Responding to Illicit Drugs in Fiji" at the FNU Nasinu Campus.

We commend Kalesi T Volatabu for advancing the agenda 👏👏

The symposium aimed to convene key stakeholders from government, civil society, faith-based organizations, youth organizations, the private sector, and the media to examine and identify solutions to address the synthetic and injecting drug use challenges in Fiji.

The event fostered a multi-sectorial dialogue to propose strategic interventions to mitigate health impacts, particularly the linkage between drug use and HIV spread, and to formulate a unified national actionable response to effectively combat drug trafficking and abuse.

We've all experienced the ebb and flow of life, and last week was particularly challenging as our team grappled with the loss of a remarkable father figure, Dr. Samuela Bogitini.

Our hearts ache as we mourned his passing, knowing he was a father figure to many. Our dear partner, Lavenia Bogitini, remained devoted by her father's side in Labasa, and we find comfort in believing his journey was meaningful.
