The Day of Pentecost

Pentecost is a powerful reminder of God’s presence through the Holy Spirit. Before His ascension, Jesus promised His followers a Helper and Comforter and on Pentecost that promise was fulfilled.

The Holy Spirit came like a mighty wind with tongues of fire resting on the disciples. They were transformed from fearful followers into bold witnesses empowered to share their faith, serve others and build the Christian community.

Key symbols of Pentecost:

🔥 Fire – God’s holy presence and purification

🌬️ Wind – the powerful movement of God’s Spirit

🕊️ Dove – peace and the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Pentecost reminds us that God is still with us today, guiding, strengthening, and empowering us.

Let us open our hearts and ask the Holy Spirit to fill us, renew us, and lead us each day. May we be filled with courage, peace, wisdom, and love to live out our faith boldly.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill our hearts.
