Here's one of the Offbeat Club founders - Misha aka Haamu. He'll be playing his new production at Putte's Bar&Pizza on April 12.
"Misha is half Finnish and half Ukrainian producer-rapper from Finland. His musical background is strongly in melodic soul-based hip-hop, but lately he has leaned more to modern R&B and Neo Soul. He started his music career as a rapper and so far he has published four solo rap albums under the name Haamu with different Finnish labels and featured on many others. His new album 'Aika rakastaa lapsiaan' was released through the legendary Monsp Records on November 2017."

"Kriso is a producer from Jyväskylä Finland, who currently resides in (east)Helsinki. He´s mostly known for producing his own beats as well as a handful of other finnish rappers/groups such as Are, Stepa, Korstoraatio, Rekami and Toistuvat Yllätykset.
Kriso started in the mid-2000s when he bought his MPC-1000 which used until its demise in 2016. Nowadays he uses an MPC-5000 which he got as payment for his beats on Korstoraatios album "Tsekkaa Mutsi". His style as well as his preference for gear is pretty straight forward. His is heavily influenced by the sample based late 1980s and early 1990s hiphop beats. Top 3(-ish) albums that influenced his style are De La Souls "Three feet high and rising", Edans "Primitive Plus" and most recently Beastie Boys "Pauls Boutique".
Krisos style relies on hard drums and a multitude of different samples spread throughout the songs. He basically doesn`t know anything about software (exept Audacity) or plugins, but he has an extensive library of breaks and James Brown records. Kriso also has a soft spot for lo-fi sound, which is why his new EP "Promonauha" was fully recorded on a 4-track cassette recorder."
