Last week, I had the privilege of capturing an incredible amount of joy, love, and meaningful moments through my camera — weddings and graduation portraits. ✨
Now continues the second phase: going through and editing the photographs.
The quiet work after all the celebration.
Step by step, piece by piece.
Every image carries emotion, a glance, light, and a moment that will never exist in quite the same way again.
And that is exactly why I love this work.

Sydän merellä, juuret kotona /
Where the Heart Belongs
Marsalforn, Gozo, Malta 2023
Auringonlasku satumaisella kalastajien saarella Gozolla. Kalastajia odotetaan
kotiin ja meri vesi vaihtaa väriä. Näen kuinka pieni kalastajavene saapuu rantaan.
Kalastaja seisoo veneellään käsi rintaa vasten painautuneena, kuin kiittäen että oli
jälleen saanut olla siellä missä sydän lepää, ja päässyt takaisin sinne, minne haluaa
nukahtaa. Tunnen kiitollisuutta, en saan ikuistaa näitä hetkiä. Hetkiä, jotka ovat
hiljaista kiitolllisuutta hehkuvia.

Sunset over the magical fishermen’s island of Gozo. The sea changes colour as
boats are awaited home. I watch a small boat arrive, the fisherman standing with
hand pressed to his heart – as if in gratitude for once again being where the soul
can rest, and the body may return to sleep. I feel grateful to capture these moments – glowing quietly with wordless Thanks.

Kehystys
Portrait photography is about surrendering to the moment.
And maybe that is exactly why the world of fashion, once so close to me, suddenly resurfaced yesterday.
It all began with street photography. Portraits. Encounters with people.
At Marimekko I learned another world – sets, rhythm, fashion shows. That energy.
Yesterday I didn’t plan anything.
Uunisaari. A boat. Wind. A young Ukrainian artist with something unexplainable in her presence.
We shot for just an hour. No control. No expectations. Just a moment allowed to unfold.
And still, everything happened.
It was touching. Magical. Joyful. Thank you Masha – your energy stayed with me. You are incredible ❤️

Potrettikuvauksessa on kyse hetkeen heittäytymisestä.
Ja ehkä juuri siksi fashion-maailma, joka oli joskus niin lähellä, nousi eilen takaisin pintaan.
Kaikki alkoi street photographysta. Potretteja. Ihmisten kohtaamisesta.
Marimekolla opin toisen maailman – lavasteet, rytmin, muotinäytökset. Sen energian.
Eilen en suunnitellut mitään.
Uunisaari. Vene. Tuuli.
Nuori ukrainalainen taiteilija, jossa oli jotain selittämätöntä.
Kuvattiin vain tunti. Ilman kontrollia. Ilman odotuksia.
Vain hetki, joka sai tapahtua.
Ja silti kaikki tapahtui.
Se oli koskettavaa. Taianomaista. Riemullista. Kiitos Masha! Energiasi jäi minuun – olet huikea ❤️
