THROWBACK SUNDAY! 😊

This mix hasn't been available for a long time - originally and exclusively released on SoundCloud on 22nd of November 2023 to promote the Viking Saga Electronic Dance Voyage cruise that took place on 27th of January 2024 - so I decided to upload it here for your listening pleasure. And at the same time it's a throwback to a highly memorable era (at least to me) of my now slightly inactivated DJing.

Trance @ 138-140 bpm, featuring both global hits and some lesser known tracks. I compiled a batch of my personal favorites, resulting in a one hour mix. Starts out gently with mesmerizing Mea Culpa by Dan Jarman, continuing to fabulous remix of maestro Jarre's Oxygene 8 by Stuart King & Marc Mitchell and the original mix of Dimension by David Gates & Malcolm Stanners, then emerges to a melodic and uplifting journey with remixes by Joonas Hahmo & Matti Kotala, Tony, Jono & Paavo, Steve Helstrip and Stuart Langelaan, concluding to a quite banging finale with Mike Dierickx magic.

Once again featuring tracks and remixes by my favorite artists such as (M.I.K.E.) Push, Ferry Corsten, Marco V, J00F and Oliver Lieb - mostly from the golden era of trance. And let me tell you: there's plenty more where they came from 😉
From a technical point of view, rough transitions here and there but I'm sure you'll enjoy it due to the selection of tracks I've made.

Mint condition (new & sealed) rare CD Maxi arrived from Spain today 😍 I played this as the opening track of my set @ fUnderGround & DwS Presents : Temerican Barshow a couple of weeks ago but it was an 8-minute edit - this CD includes the full 14-minute progressive trance masterpiece: Malcolm McLaren - The Bell Song (Parks & Wilson V's Obscure Remembrance Mix) 🤤

My first "prime" set time, from 00:00 to 01:00 and what a pleasure it was to play to a nicely warmed up crowd. Night's theme was to play trance and psytrance and right after learning this when I was booked to play at this event I started to compile the set. From deep progressive trance to techno to psy and goa trance - from me a first of its kind. I had SO MUCH fun compiling and, most of all, playing this set!
Featuring sublime The Bell Song, staggering remix of New York FM, legendary The Rebel with Push's touch, brilliant Moaner (something quite unique spawned from the terrible film Batman & Robin) and tracks by some of my favorite artists (Martin Freeland, Avi Shmailov, Yahel Sherman and John '00' Fleming + Ricky Smith, not to mention BPC) from these genres.
This is a JOURNEY @ 138-148 bpm. Get on board, I hope you like it!
