The private sector’s IT project supply has been dragging behind the thriving public sector for a long time, but now the supply is cheering up in the private sector, too. 🙌

According to Witted Insights October report, the number of open private sector projects reached the highest level since February. However, there is still a long way to go compared to last year, with a 51.3% decline in open projects.

The public sector remains the safe haven for those who value long and steady projects, and there are plenty of available projects. 👉 The public sector witnessed a remarkable 135,7% increase in the number of open IT projects in October 2023 compared to October 2022.

Nordic software consultancies keep facing tougher times, new Witted Insights report shows. The average growth percentage of the 150+ monitored companies was close to zero in October:

🇫🇮 Average growth percentage 0,4%, the fastest-growing company was Rebase with 8,9% headcount growth.

🇳🇴 Average growth percentage 0,4%, Semcon grew the most with 12,3%.

🇸🇪 Average growth percentage 0,5%, the fastest-growing company was Fastdev with 11,1%.

🇩🇰 Average growth percentage 0,3%, Innologic grew the fastest with 12,5%.

Also the average YTD growth percentage in October 2023 vs. October 2022 is quite revealing:

🇫🇮 4,9% vs 18,0%
🇳🇴 6,4% vs 14,5%
🇸🇪 4,8% vs 5,0%
🇩🇰 1,6% vs 25,1%
