Did you know pedestrian children are more vulnerable to road crashes? As parents and caregivers, teaching our children about road safety is important. Encourage them to use pedestrian crossings properly, look both ways before crossing any road, and avoid using electronic devices while crossing. Teach them to wait for the green light or WALK signal, walk on the sidewalk or footpath, and wear bright or reflective clothing when crossing at night or early in the morning. It's also important to remind them to not run across the road or cross in between parked vehicles or at sharp bends without taking a proper look.

እግረኛ ልጆች ለመንገድ አደጋ የበለጠ ተጋላጭ እንደሆኑ ያውቃሉ? እንደ ወላጆች ወይም ተንከባካቢዎች፣ ልጆቻችንን ስለመንገድ ደህንነት ማስተማር እጅግ አስፈላጊ ነው። በመሆኑም፣ የእግረኛ መሻገሪያን በአግባቡ እንዲጠቀሙ ማሳወቅ፣ ማንኛውንም መንገድ ከማቋረጣቸው በፊት ሁለቱንም መንገድ መመልከታቸውን ማረጋገጥ፣ እና በሚያቋርጡበት ጊዜ የኤሌክትሮኒክስ መሳሪያዎችን እንዳይጠቀሙ ማስገንዘብ የውዴታ ግዴታ ነው። በተጨማሪም አረንጓዴ መብራት ወይም የእግር ጉዞ ምልክት እንዲጠብቁ ማስትማር፣ በእግረኛ መንገድ ላይ ብቻ እንዲራመዱ ማደረግ፣ በመሽት ላይ አንጸባራቂ ልብስ እንዲለብሱ ማድረግ፣ ግራና ቀኛቸውን አይተው መንገድ እንዲያቋርጡ እና በቆሙ ተሽከርካሪዎች መካከል ወይም በሹል መታጠፊያዎች እንዳይሻገሩ ማሳሰብ አስፈላጊ ነው።
