We are looking for a Qualitative Consultant for a short term enagement.

The Qualitative Interviewer should have the following qualification, skills and experiences:


· MA degree in social science such as Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Economics and social phycology
· Fluent in Oromifa and Somaligna
· Experience of gathering qualitative data on studies of livelihood, climate change resilience, market expansion etc.
· Experience of using interactive/participatory methods and tools (like Venn diagram, resilience ranking etc ) of data gathering
· Experience of conducting Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with wide range of target groups
· Experience of facilitating/moderating FGDs with men and women as well as vulnerable groups
· Ability and skill of applying participatory methods and tools such as mapping, venn diagram, resilience ranking etc.
· Extensive experience of managing and leading qualitative study team
· Basic technical skills (e.g. computer use – Microsoft office and Excel)
