📚🤝 Encouraging Learning and Opportunity Through Partnership
Last week, our team visited Gudina Tumsa Foundation Training Center in Legetafo and Shamida Children’s Home at CCD, two remarkable organizations with work supported by Elnet Foundation.

During the visit, EF donated 50 books to support the library being established at the GTF/KOELIM training center. The center provides training in nine vocational skill areas, including weaving, bamboo work, pottery, and garment production, helping equip young people with practical, income-generating skills.

The visit was also a reminder of EF’s support during the establishment of the training center. We are grateful for partnerships that continue to create learning, opportunity, and hope. 🌱💛

The Shamida forever home is located within the beautiful premises of CCD, where Elnet Foundation through our backdonor is able to provide a rent free, high end housing for this incredible organization. We were pleased to see the amazing work going on each day in supporting the children to live, learn and thrive in the best possible environment Ethiopia has to offer.

🤝🚑 Partner Meetings to Advance Eezer Rollout

Meetings were held at the EF office with partners from Ethiopian Children’s Fund (ECF) and EECMY DASSC (Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus Development and Social Services Commission) to strengthen coordination for the rollout of the Eezer Motorcycle Ambulance.

During the session, partners presented their implementation plans for launching Eezer services in their respective locations - Ayra Hospital in Wollega and Aleltu North Shoa Zone of Oromia Region.

These discussions reinforce collaboration, alignment, and readiness to expand safe maternal transport where it is most urgently needed. 🌿💛

🧹🐾 Caring for Community Health - One Step at a Time

Today marked the start of a cleanup campaign and mini renovation at the Kirkos Sub-City Vet Clinic, an important step toward strengthening community animal and public health services.

This initiative is a collaboration between Elnet Foundation and One Healthy Society International (OHSI). Together, we are working to promote and implement dog neutering, spaying, and a rabies vaccination campaign in the city.

As the clinic begins to take shape after years of limited use, this effort lays the foundation for a much-needed rabies control program that will benefit both people and animals.

We look forward to sharing progress as the work continues, with the first phase of the program set to begin later this week.
