A Female Perspective Without Declarations
Perhaps this is what feels most contemporary about her.
She wasn’t trying to prove anything to anyone.
She didn’t use art as a form of struggle.
She never turned herself into a symbol.
She simply worked at the highest level.
That is why her legacy feels so relevant today: a strong woman who built her career not through controversy or ideology, but through the quality of her painting.
A Remarkable Freedom from Fashion
Some artists perfectly reflect their time.
Others seem to exist beyond it.
Menchu Gal belongs to the latter.
There is no sense of trend in her work.
No desire to please the market.
What you feel instead is an inner necessity to paint.
And that is precisely why her work has aged so well.
This June, the attention of the Costa del Sol’s cultural community is focused on Belin’s exhibition.
Metamorphose Gallery presents the work of an artist whose pieces are currently exhibited alongside those of Velázquez and Sorolla.
An event for those who shape the aesthetics of spaces, work in architecture and design, curate exhibitions, build collections, or follow contemporary art.

Glass remembers light.
Eila Luque works with glass as if it were a living material.
Her objects exist somewhere between design, sculpture, and air.
What matters in them is not only the form,
but the way space itself begins to reflect inside the object.
Some paintings feel like memories you never lived.
There is a strange sense of recognition in Ale Feijo’s works.
As if you have already existed inside this feeling before.
This is not painting about form.
It is painting about the body’s inner memory.
About emotions that cannot truly be explained with words.
The most boring book I’ve ever read changed everything.
Proust. In Search of Lost Time.
Most people never finish it.
I understand why.
But somewhere inside those endless sentences — something happened.
His descriptions are so rich
you stop reading
and start living inside his images.
Feeling through his thoughts.
Seeing through his eyes.
And then you can’t unsee.
The way light falls on a surface.
The way a room holds memory.
The way a single detail carries an entire emotion.
That’s what great art does too.
It changes the lens.
Permanently.

“Not every artwork wants attention.
Some demand silence.”
There are artworks that do not scream for attention.
They transform a space almost imperceptibly — like the light at the end of the day.
Luis Agulló does not work with form.
He works with atmosphere.
This is not art for a quick glance.
It is for those who still know how to pause.

Some evenings just happen. The right people. The right silence.
People who come to feel, not just to look.
The quality of presence creates the circle.

Watching colour become architecture.
Watching Antonio Casares Palma work feels almost architectural.
His paintings are not built through careful control.
They emerge through tension between instinct, colour, gesture, and structure.
Layer after layer, the canvas begins to behave like a stained-glass window —
where light does not simply illuminate the surface,
but becomes part of the composition itself.
His bold colour combinations are never random.
They collide, vibrate, interrupt each other, creating movement and emotional pressure inside the work.
Somewhere between abstraction and architecture,
the painting starts forming its own space.
Not something you only look at.
But something you physically enter.

Some works refuse to be photographed.
What disappears when you experience this sculpture through a screen?
Light.
Transformation.
Presence.
