I love exploring Palm Springs, searching for unique design. This time staying at the Liberace inspired guestroom . Also called the Candelabra room. A small 8 room boutique hotel.

When I design a spa like this, I’m not thinking about furniture, finishes, or form. I am thinking about how a guest’s body will soften the moment they arrives.

This relaxation lounge is designed like a quiet ritual: arrival, pause, release. Nothing is accidental. Nothing is rushed. The architecture flows rather than directs. There are no hard thresholds, only transitions.

Light is diffused, never confrontational. Water becomes a reflective partner, doubling space and dissolving edges, encouraging the mind to let go of control.

Each alcove here is intentionally intimate, a personal sanctuary within a shared environment.

And that, to me, is the highest form of luxury.
