Improving energy efficiency in industrial plants is not only about reducing fuel consumption. It is also about recovering available heat, lowering operating costs and supporting more sustainable production processes.

For this textile industry project in 𝐌𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐜𝐨, AITESA delivered a heat recovery boiler system combining a 𝟓.𝟔 𝐌𝐖𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐢𝐥 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫 with a 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐭𝐮𝐛𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫 designed to generate 𝟒.𝟖 𝐭/𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝟖 𝐛𝐚𝐫.

Our scope covered the complete solution, including 𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐬 𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐢𝐥 𝐭𝐮𝐛𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞, 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐛𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫, 𝐩𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐩𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐬, 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬, as well as engineering, supply, installation, commissioning and start-up.

The result is a more efficient and decarbonized production process, with improved energy performance and lower operating costs for the plant.

In a waste heat recovery boiler, saturated steam is often just the starting point. Many industrial processes require additional temperature and energy before steam can be efficiently used in turbines, process equipment or distribution networks.

This is where the superheater becomes a key piece of equipment.

Operating in the hottest section of the boiler, superheaters are exposed to high flue gas temperatures, severe thermal gradients and constantly changing operating conditions. Their design directly impacts steam quality, equipment lifetime, plant efficiency and long term reliability.

Material selection, heat transfer surface configuration, steam temperature control and flow distribution are only some of the factors that must be carefully considered to achieve reliable performance throughout the life of the plant.
